Founder's Monthly Message

Firstly, wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 2012.

When one discusses the variations in businesses, among many factors, normally immediate differences are identified as types of products, which they may produce, or the services that they may render, their geographical locations and market shares, their organizational structures and their financial statuses.

At the same time that undoubtedly all these parameters are playing some roles, none of them is the single main reason for differences in businesses.

As a matter of fact, reason for variety in businesses is rooted in the complex human intelligence of a business and is directly influenced by the key decision maker(s) of the business.

To perhaps shed some lights on this issue, let's take a simple approach and imagine starting up two businesses, which are identical in nature, product or service, market, financial status and geographical location even to the extent of being side by side. In doing so, the only difference will be that two groups of people with identical levels of expertise about product/service and the market will be managing them and each group is headed by a key decision maker.

To maintain a fair experimental environment, these identical businesses are mandated to operate independently for six months and without any external influence from the observers.

If at the end of such grace period both businesses are visited and evaluated in terms of their progresses and successes, what will be the chances that they have reached identical positions?

Although logically it will be almost close to impossible that they will be identical again, the main questions remains that starting from identical status in the identical market, why are they different after six months? Think about it!

Believe it or not, the simple answer is in the element of People within the business and specifically the key decision maker!

To perhaps simplify this complex yet essential business fundamental, I would certainly hope that the contents of this issue be of some assistance to your business. In particular, I would sincerely hope that you would personally benefit from this concept in everyday betterment of your business.

Sincerely,

Rahmat Ushaksaraei

off-site business seminar versus an on-site one!

In an ever shifting global market, inevitably knowledge of existing business best practices is the key factor for the survival and growth of small and mid-size businesses.

Although in the age of information technology, internet has been a great resource, to date, it has not been an alternative for a concise information, which are offered in a focused and interactive business seminar and/or training.

Yet, considering the value of time for small and midsize businesses and specially their key decision makers, it makes it somehow impractical to sometimes travel across a city, sit in a room with strangers and interactively discuss very confidential and internal business matters.

Alternatively, if a business is furnished with an option for complimentary in-house business seminar and/or training for its key people, not only the business will gain the necessary knowledge without compromising the business confidentiality, but also time-wise it will only be investing what is actually necessary.

Four Types of Businesses!

A business is the true and exact reflection of its key decision maker(s).

For many small and mid-size businesses, it is very difficult to accept this simple fact and yet for a limited group of believers, this profound understanding is the key attribute to their continual successes.

Witnessing this common trend in many small and mid-size businesses, it is becoming more important than ever to explore this business fundamental, reflect upon it and fully understand it.

To simplify this complex issue, which is intricately related to the Human Intelligence Management & Human Emotion Realization methodologies1, let's examine it strep by step.

Generally and disregard of the product produced or service rendered by a business, following is what is obvious to the trained eyes:

Category A: Some businesses are dominantly of entrepreneurial nature. Naturally, it may seem that there is no boundaries or limits holding back such businesses. Furthermore, in order to utilize fresh thinking for generating innovative ideas, these type of businesses are changing directions constantly.

Category B: Some businesses fundamentally take full logical approaches to business matters. In such businesses every move is calculated and is based on hours of study and research. Furthermore, matters must make sense first before being adapted, implemented and tried out.

Category C: Some businesses are of dominantly organized and structured. Known as projectized, in such businesses all matters are treated as project and both decisions and actions must be scope driven, phase controlled and be bound by time, cost and quality.

Category D: Some businesses are mostly socially oriented and decision are gauged against remaining harmonious. In other words, every decision, vision and action must make sense in terms of fulfilling a social responsibility, being harmonious with the surrounding and serve a common humanitarian objective.

Portraying these business categories pictorially:
Business Categories
Now, let's concentrate on people aspect of the business. Humans in general and key decision makers of a businesses in particular are posses one of the following dominant personalities:

Personality A: The person is a pure entrepreneur; he or she is quite capable of innovating ideas in a fly. Some of the ideas may make sense for today's world or others may be of a futuristic nature, some may be feasible and other may be impossible by today's measures; yet for such person there is no limit or boundary.

Personality B: The person is purely logical, where everything must have a purpose and reason in connection to the next decision or action or otherwise totally disregarded; i.e. if there is no logical reason for a decision or action, there is no reason for considering it.

Personality C: The person is very organized and structured and view all business elements as project, where everything has a start and finish. Furthermore, all business elements and interactions must fit and be beneficial in boundaries of scope, time, coast and quality. Generally, there is no time to waste and every issue has a deadline.

Personality D: The person is more concerned about social aspect of the business and the impact of decisions and actions on overall harmony of the business and its internal and external relations. Clear and open communication are regarded highly and human interactions towards business goals are praised and safeguarded.

Pictorially, the dominant personalities of the key decision makers of businesses are as follows:
Human Intelligence
Now. let's overlay and compare the Business Categories & Key Decision Makers' personalities. Amazingly, it is a 100% match!... Is it a coincident? Absolutely Not!

In reality, the extent of a key decision maker's influence in shaping the business in matching his/her personality is beyond one's perception. Additionally, the extent of influence is to a level that it impacts even the color of the walls of a business environment! Think about it!

Now, among many, some of the key questions are:

- What is the category of your business?
- As a key decision maker of a business, how aware are you of the level of influence that your personality consciously and subconsciously has on your business?
- How would you be able to take advantage of this knowledge in betterment and success of your business?
- How aware are you of the personalities of your employees and how well are you able to redirect their talents in surpassing the expectations?

If in doubt, contact me directly and let's have a business chat!
